Our Lady of Lourdes School | Washington Heights

Our Lady of Lourdes School welcomes students of varied abilities and diverse ethnic backgrounds. The administration, faculty, and staff recognize the value of each individual and are committed to each student’s spiritual, academic, social, and cultural development.

Our Lady of Lourdes School has been serving the children of Washington Heights since 1909. The school educates students in Pre-K through 8th grades. It combines Catholic values with the most up-to-date teaching strategies and technology applications in order to educate the entire person.

At Our Lady of Lourdes School, faith and knowledge meet. The well-rounded education that we deliver prepares students for their next steps in life.

We are currently accepting applications for the 2008-
2009 school year. Registration is ongoing until all

The school is supported by an Advisory Board that
meets regularly throughout the year. Our Lady of
Lourdes School is extremely fortunate to have a
number of dedicated donors who fund both curriculum enhancement programs and physical plant capital improvements.

Thanks to the generous support of our Patrons,
OLL has completed a number of capital
improvements. In 2005, our backyard and recess
area was equipped with protective padding, and the doors and steps leading to the school’s front door were replaced. In 2006, the student bathrooms in the cafeteria were renovated thanks to a grant from
Project YESS. In the summer of 2007, the 100-year-old roof was replaced through grants from the Hayden Foundation and the Endowment for
Inner-City Education. This coming summer, we are looking forward to renovating our Science Lab through a grant from the Endowment for Inner-City Education and support from our Patrons.
